It's a sign of the season. Ski slopes across Wisconsin are starting to open this week.

The popular ski and snowboard slopes at Wilmot Mountain are opening this week, according to its Facebook page.

Wilmot officially opens for the season on Friday, Nov. 30 at 3 p.m. and will stay open until 10 p.m.

Until Dec. 9, the slopes will be open from 3-10 p.m. Monday through Friday and will open at 9 a.m. and close at 10 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.

The slopes are ready for skiers and snowboarders.

However, snow tubers will have to wait. The tubing season opening date has not yet been announced.

Alpine Valley in East Troy has opened for the PM season.

The slopes are open from 2-10 p.m. and all access lift tickets are $41.

Devil's Head Resort in Merrimac has already opened for the season. The slopes opened last weekend, but are currently closed while the resort makes more snow. It reopens on Thursday at 4 p.m.

In Portage, Cascade Mountain held its opening weekend starting last Friday. It is closed during the week, and will reopen on Friday
