This story is an example of that intangible quality known as grace under pressure.
Ozaukee County dispatcher Michael Eibs displayed an abundance of it - and so did Patricia Hallam - after her husband David collapsed in the driveway of their Saukville home.
The drama was celebrated Wednesday at an Ozaukee County ceremony with all of the players in attendance. Eib was there, as was Hallum.
The real cause for celebration, though, was a smiling David Hallam showing no signs of his brush with death just over a month ago.
