After 10 years of business in Milwaukee's downtown Cathedral Square, Whiskey Bar announced it will close its doors early February.
The bar made the announcement in a Facebook post that its last day of business will be Saturday, Feb. 2.
The post mentions that the building will soon become a "multi-story incredible project" that owners hope to be involved with in the upcoming year.
Whiskey Bar has served as a downtown hot spot for its namesake, whiskey, but also for being a prime meeting spot for casual hangouts or upscale celebrations.
According to our partners at the Milwaukee Business Journal , the closure comes amid other changes in Cathedral Square. Last year, the popular restaurant Louise's closed its doors, and most recently Mi-Key's closed for regular business hours. Cathedral Square also gained the Taco Bar in October, owned by the same owner as the Dogg Haus and Plum Lounge.
