It's been rough going for Wisconsin snowmobilers so far this season - but there are some spots you can hit the trails this weekend.
The early week winter storm brought plenty of snow to our north, allowing county trails as close as Fond du Lac to open, however the best riding remains far north.
"Anything probably north of Highway 29 and Highway 70 is really in excellent shape," Village Snow Seekers member John Fransee says.
Heavy traffic is causing wear and tear on some popular trails, including several in Eagle River.
"Since the snow, we picked up a lot of riders, heavy traffic," Holly Tomlanovich says.
