West Allis PD investigates suspicious incident with child

The West Allis Police Department received a report regarding a child who had a suspicious encounter with the male driver of a vehicle at the intersection of S. 96th Street and W. Arthur Avenue Tuesday, February 2.

Around 3:10 p.m., the child walking home was approached by a man, described as approximately 30-40 years old, with very short hair almost bald, driving an older black sport utility vehicle, similar to a Jeep Cherokee or Grand Cherokee with tinted rear windows and rust on the bottom.

Police say the man asked the child if they wanted a ride and if they lived in the area.

The child replied, "no," and the man left the area, according to police.

Police say the man was accompanied by a woman in the front seat and another child in the back seat.

A license plate was not obtained, and no unique characteristics were noted.
