WEST ALLIS — The West Allis Farmers Market is set to open for its 101st season on Saturday, May 9.
Farmers Markets are considered essential under Governor Tony Evers' Safer at Home order, which is scheduled to last until May 26.
Due to this extension, the West Allis Farmers Market opening day was pushed back by one week in order to prepare for the safety of its customers and vendors.
According to the market's Facebook page, "The market will operate as an open-air, in-person shoppers market per usual, with extra precautions to ensure everyone’s safety while the coronavirus challenges us," the post said.
They will be releasing updated guidelines for vendors and shoppers when they are available.
