Welcome the Lenten season with these Ash Wednesday services across the area

Ash Wednesday marks the first day of the Lenten season, and if you partake in the religious practice there are plenty of services across the area to attend.

First Presbyterian Church

Get your "Ashes To Go" at First Presbyterian Church from 7:45 a.m. until 8:45 p.m.

St. Pius X Parish Community

St. Pius Parish Communityin Wauwatosa will hold Ash Wednesday Mass at 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. New members are welcome to attend.

St. Rita Parish

St.Rita Parish will have mass with ashes at 8:30 a.m., 12 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. This church is located on Hwy 32 in Racine, Wis.

St. Benedict the Moor

Ash Wednesday service will be held from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m. at St. Benedict the Moor in Milwaukee.

Immanuel Presbyterian Church

Immanuel Presbyterian Church in Milwaukee will have both Ash Wednesday and Lenten Soup Suppers starting Wednesday at 6 p.m. They will continue every Wednesday throughout March.

St. Paul's Lutheran Church

St. Paul's is worshiping with Galilee Lutheran this year for Ash Wednesday. Worship will be held at 7 p.m. at Galilee Lutheran located at N24W26430 Crestview Drive, Pewaukee, Wis.

Holy Trinity Lutheran

Welcome the Lenten season with Ash Wednesday services at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in West Allis at 6:30 p.m.

All Saints Lutheran Church

All Saints Lutheran in Oak Creek will have the Imposition of Ashes at 7 p.m.

Marquette University Lutheran Campus Ministry

Marquette will host Ash Wednesday services for the public from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. This service will be a bit unique, as they will also be offering glitter ashes as an act of solidarity and visibility with the LGBTQ+ community.

First Congregational United Church of Christ South Milwaukee

First Congregational United Church of Christ will have self-guided Ash Wednesday stations all day from 11:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m., followed by Lenten prayer stations from 6-6:30 p.m.

Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish

Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in New Berlin will have Ash Wednesday services at 8 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
