Weekend Events: Crafting, cooking and keeping warm

Woot woot, it's the weekend! Here's what's going on:

If you're feeling crafty. Brinn Labs has an event that will let you DIY to your heart's desire. MakeShift is an adults-only workshop that focuses on demos, hacks and do-it-yourself projects. The lab will also have a special project in anticipation of Valentine's Day. Check it out Friday night from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m.

The Sixth Annual Guitar Festival Concert is Saturday from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. See renowned guitarists Alfonso Moreno and Oman Kaminski, as well as youth competition winners strum Latin tunes at Latino Arts, Inc. Tickets are available online and at the door.

The Brewcity Bruisers are back for more high speed skating. Sunday is the group's second match up of 2019. It starts at 4 p.m.

Love is in the air, at the Marcus Center, that is. The Florentine Opera Company's Con Amore brings love songs to the stage all weekend.

When it's chilly outside, we eat chili inside. Lakefront Brewery and the Milwaukee Fire Department are teaming up for the ultimate chili cook off. Try 15 different chilis from award-winning chili cook off teams at the 2019 Engine House 19 Chili Cook Off while enjoying live entertainment . This tasty event is on Sunday at Lakefront Brewery from 12 p.m. until 6 p.m.
