With the flood waters finally receding the three-day wait for the power to be restored in Burlington is over.
We Energies’ outage map showed just 19 outages in the city of Burlington as of 8:30 p.m. Friday.
The substation in Burlington had flooded after the Fox River crested following heavy rains this week. Crews were unable to get to the substation for days because the flooding was still too high to cross.
Outages in the area topped at nearly 10,000 during the worst of the flooding.
In Burlington, 4,000 customers went two days without power.
