A Wauwatosa pizza delivery driver was arrested Saturday night after calling 911 to ask why his police traffic stop was taking so long.

The 32-year-old man called the Elm Grove Police Dispatch Center requesting to speak to a supervisor.

The man told the dispatcher, "I was pulled over by Elm Grove Police 15 minutes ago and they are just sitting in the car wasting my time, I don't have any warrants, I know they are not taking this long to look up my record, um, I told them I am a delivery driver, I'm currently on a delivery, they are just sitting there."

After hanging up, the caller learned he was wanted on two warrants for loitering and drug paraphernalia out of Oak Creek. The Elm Grove police officer who made the arrest waited 20 minutes for a replacement driver, who never showed up.

The man was taken into custody but later posted bail and was released.

Unfortunately, the pizza never made it to its destination.
