WAUKESHA — The City of Waukesha has been named one of the top 100 cities to retire in 2019.

Waukesha was ranked #26 by ChamberofCommerce.org. The website ranked optimal cities for retirees based on variables that cover aspects such as cost of living, crime levels, and quality of life.

The report also looks at how retirees are finding the perfect location to maximize happiness and funds.

New Bedford, Massachusetts was named the best city to retire in 2019.

New Bedford is a charming coastal city in Massachusetts with a long history as one of the region’s busiest fishing ports. Although the city has a population of 95,000, New Bedford has a decidedly relaxed, small-town feel compared to other cities of its size. Retirees should enjoy New Bedford's mild, ocean moderated climate boasting mild winters, and comfortably balmy summers.

Cities in northeast Wisconsin also made the list. Oshkosh, Green Bay, and Appleton were ranked #64, #81, and #86, respectively.
