The Waukesha JanBoree is a three-day winter festival with events and activities throughout Waukesha.
Business owners like Jason Tofte of The Steaming Cup and Tofte's Table say it brings in big business.
"Last year, that Saturday, with the ice carving, was our busiest sales day of the whole year."
There will be ice carving again in 2017. Dozens of stands are set up around downtown ready for the ice sculptors to begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday.
"These guys are supposed to be top-rated carvers, so it'll be awesome," Tofte added.
There will also be arts and crafts, ice hockey, and ice skating. Events are all over town, and Mayor Shawn Reilly says you do not have to walk.
"We have a trolley that runs back and forth for people who don't want to do a lot of walking. The trolley gets them from one end of town to the other," Mayor Reilly says.
He adds, "It's just a fun time and people are celebrating...which you don't really get after the Christmas and New Year's holidays. It's a good time for it."
