At 9 p.m. Milwaukee Police Chief Alfonso Morales is expected to deliver remarks on the officer killed in the line of duty Wednesday morning.
A 35-year-old police officer was shot and killed near 12th and Dakota. The officer has more than 17 years on the force.
Officers took a 26-year-old into custody after the shooting.
