Washington County Sheriff's Office is investigating a woman killed by a train near Slinger.
Police say that around 9:30 p.m. Friday night, deputies received reports that a Canadian National train struck a person near Maple Avenue South in the Town of Polk.
Train traffic was held for approximately six hours.
A woman was found dead on the scene. The victim's identity has not yet been released.
