MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee firefighters will be collecting donations throughout the city to raise money for Warm Up Winter, a program that provides new winter coats for local students in need.

The program, founded in 2011, has provided over 34,000 winter coats to Milwaukee students at 70 schools, raising $502,000 thus far.

Firefighters will be out accepting donations Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m throughout the city.

Some intersections to see MFD in action include 27th and Oklahoma, 1st and Virginia, and Franklin and Brady.
