MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Gov. Scott Walker is outlining his visits to Middle East military bases last week.

Walker told reporters Monday that he arrived in Kuwait Dec. 6 and visited Ali Al Salem Air Force Base, Camp Buehring and Camp Arifjan.
On Dec. 7 he traveled to Al Dafra Air Force Base in the United Arab Emirates and Camp Resolute Support in Afghanistan. The next day he visited Bagram Airfield, the largest U.S. base in Afghanistan. His last stop was Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany.

Walker says he wore a flak jacket and traveled by helicopter in Afghanistan to avoid roadside bombs. He says he met troops from around the U.S. and thanked them for their service to boost morale.
