Violent morning across Milwaukee Thursday

MILWAUKEE -- It was a violent morning across Milwaukee on Thursday, with at least three shooting incidents in a two-hour period.

The first incident happened at approximately 1:30 a.m. near 32nd and Wells streets. Police said a 25-year-old man was shot during a confrontation with a group of people. The victim was able to get to a hospital and is expected to be OK. There are no suspects in custody.

The second incident happened at approximately 3:15 a.m. near 24th Street and Greenfield Avenue. Police said the 29-year-old man was shot during a robbery. The man was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive. There are no suspects in custody.

The third incident happened at approximately 3:30 a.m. near Sherman Boulevard and Villard Avenue. Police said a 40-year-old woman was shot in the head. The woman was taken to the hospital and is being treated for a serious gunshot wound. A person of interest was taken into custody at the scene.
