Milwaukee Public Schools joins Verizon through the Verizon Innovative Learning program to provide free technology and internet access to students.

The partnership will help students stay connected while online learning is conducted from home, the classroom or in hybrid learning models.

This partnership will provide free Chromebooks devices, with hot spots for free internet access to approximately 2,300 students at five MPS middle schools: Andrew S. Douglas, Audubon, Lincoln Center of the Arts, Oliver Wendell Holmes, and Rufus King International.

MPS are among 11o new schools joining Verizon for the 2020-21 school year, bringing the program to over 260 middle schools nationwide.

A press conference will be held today at Audubon Technology and Communication Center Middle School at 3300 S. 39th St. to kick-off the new partnership.
