BONDUEL -- Police say several people were taken to area hospitals after two vehicles carrying Boy Scouts crashed in Shawano County.
The accident happened Saturday morning on Highway 29 near Bonduel. Authorities say the two sport utility vehicles were traveling together with a group of scouts. One of the SUV's was towing an equipment trailer.
Police say it initially appears the SUV with the trailer went off the roadway then overcorrected and lost control. The second SUV hit the first, and both went off the road. The trailer flipped and the second SUV landed partially on top of the first.
It appears 12 or 13 adults and scouts were involved. Several people were taken to local hospitals. One person was airlifted to St. Vincent's Hospital in Green Bay. Their conditions are unknown.
