One dead after van crashes into tree in Waukesha County

One person is dead after the driver of a van drove off the road and crashed into a tree in Waukesha County Thursday evening.

LISBON, Wis. — One person is dead after the driver of a van drove off the road and crashed into a tree in Waukesha County Thursday evening.

According to the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department, a 20-year-old male was able to exit the vehicle on his own. A 28-year-old male had to be extricated from the vehicle.

The 28-year-old male was pronounced deceased, the department said. The Wisconsin State Patrol is assisting with accident reconstruction.

According to TMJ4 News crews at the scene, a work van crashed in the Town of Lisbon on Lake Five Road, north of Plainview near the subdivision Twin Pine Farm.
