KENOSHA -- College is one of the most expensive investments people make in their lifetimes, but one local school is taking the pressure off qualifying students.
According to their website, UW-Parkisde in Kenosha is offering free tuition and fees to students that meet certain requirements. The program is called Parkside Promise Plus.
To be eligible, you need to have the following:
- Declare your intent to be part of the Parkside Promise Plus
- Be a new freshman admitted to Parkside by May 1
- Submit the FAFSA by May 1 and have an EFC of 1500 or less
- Be a Wisconsin resident for tuition purposes
- Have a high school cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above at time of admission
- Attend required Promise orientation session (included in full orientation day) and sign your Promise Pledge
- Enroll as a full-time student the fall following HS graduation
