MILWAUKEE — Reports of domestic violence have spiked 28% in Milwaukee alone, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

To raise greater awareness, Sojourner Family Peace Center is launching the #UntilSheCan campaign as a global rally cry, shedding light on a topic few choose to discuss.

The campaign highlights influential voices in the Milwaukee community, reading quotes from real survivors of domestic violence. Each voice is sharing their video today, along with the following message:

"This isn’t my story. It’s the real story of a survivor of domestic violence. Many survivors cannot speak publicly. So I am supporting her and sharing her story #UntilSheCan. Domestic violence is at an all-time high. To stop it, we need to talk about it and support in survivors. I’m asking you to help by donating to @SojournerMKE or your local survivor support provider. Learn more at familypeacecenter.org."

Sojourner Family Peace Center is the largest nonprofit provider of domestic violence prevention and intervention services in Wisconsin, serving over 9,500 clients each year.
