MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- The University of Wisconsin-Madison's corporate partnerships bring in revenue for the institution but also raise ethical questions.

The Wisconsin State Journal reports that many of the university's physical and digital spaces have been used as advertising platforms for businesses like Google, Amazon and Mentos Gum.

Some university professors are worried about the school's association with these corporations. Google, for example, is facing scrutiny for the role it may have played in Russian efforts to influence the 2016 presidential election.

University officials say that the corporate partnerships do not represent an official endorsement from UW-Madison, however. They also say the partnerships provide revenue and experiences students appreciate.
