A Columbus man discovered his son didn't get the toy he wanted in his Happy Meal from McDonald's. Instead, the boy got a razor tool.

According to our sister station WISC-TV, Scot Dymond discovered his son's meal came with a sharp razor after they had returned home from the fast food restaurant. Dymond reported the incident to Columbus Police.

After police began to investigate, Chief Dennis Weiner believed it was "a fluke" and there wasn't any ill intent.

The razor is said to be a a cleaning tool used by McDonald's employees. Weiner told WISC-TV that surveillance video doesn't show exactly what happened, but that they believe the razor was likely bumped into the happy meal box.

The Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection said the agency has opened an investigation into this report. McDonald's has yet to respond.
