MILWAUKEE — An Uber driver had his vehicle stolen early Wednesday, the Milwaukee Police Department said.

About 4 a.m., officers observed a car operating in a reckless manner southbound on North 12th Street from West Juneau Avenue.

Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop. The vehicle fled, and a vehicle pursuit ensued.

The vehicle drove to West Wisconsin Avenue and turned east onto the street, police said. The vehicle came to rest at 622 W. Wisconsin Ave. after the vehicle axle broke.

Three subjects were taken into custody.
