U.S. News & World Report has released their rankings of high schools around the U.S., including those here in Wisconsin.
Not only does U.S. News & World Report rank each school, they also organize the schools by state and list the top ten in all 50 states.
In Wisconsin, many of those top schools are in southeastern Wisconsin and the state has a graduation rate of close to 90%.
The top high school within the state is Whitefish Bay High School. Nationwide, Whitefish Bay High ranked No. 171. They offer many advances placement courses, with 73% of the school enrolling in those courses. They came through with a near perfect score of 99.04.
Coming in second in the state is Cedarburg High School. They ranked at No. 201 nationwide and got a 98.84 overall score.
From there on you will find Reagan College Preparatory School, Kohler High School, and Eisenhower Middle/High School. All of these schools have scores higher than 98.00.
Finishing out the top 10 Wisconsin schools are the following schools:
- Kettle Moraine High School
- Brookfield Central High School
- Carmen High School of Science and Technology
- Homestead High School
- Waunakee High School
When determining the ranking of these schools, U.S. News & World Report looked at AP classes offered, student test scores, ACT scores, diversity, and teacher to student ratios among other things.
