Two UW-Madison students made it to the final round of consideration for the 2017 Rhodes Scholarship.
Each year 32 students are selected to receive The Rhodes Scholarship. This year there were 886 candidates. UW-Madison students Kyra Fox and Ross Dahlke are local to the Milwaukee area were named finalists.
Kyra Fox from Whitefish Bay will graduate with degrees in international studies and psychology, with a certificate in African studies. Ross Dahlke from Westfield will graduate with degrees in journalism and political science. Both students have high honors in their studies and have accomplished many things outside of academics.
The Rhodes Scholars are informed the Saturday before Thanksgiving each year. Although neither candidate was chosen as a recipient of the prestigious award, they, along with the university, have a lot to be proud of.
