MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee police are investigating a two-vehicle accident that occurred on Friday just after 9 p.m.
Police said the accident happened near N. 1st Street and E. Capitol Drive. Milwaukee police officers observed a reckless vehicle in the area and attempted to conduct a traffic stop.
The vehicle refused to stop so the officers started a pursuit.
Immediately after the pursuit was started the fleeing vehicle crashed into another vehicle, police said.
The driver of the fleeing vehicle was a 29-year-old man from Milwaukee along with a 25-year-old female passenger.
The driver was arrested and transported to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries. The female passenger was also transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
