MILWAUKEE -- Three people were shot, including a 16-year-old boy, at a home on Milwaukee's west side.

Police say it happened on North 27th Street near Lisbon Avenue just before 1:00 p.m. Tuesday.

One man was killed and the other two victims were taken to the hospital.

Police haven't released any information about suspects in the case, and detectives are still investigating what led up to the shooting.

One man, who has lived in the neighborhood for 25 years, tells TODAY's TMJ4 that he's tired of seeing crime scenes near his home.

"It's a daily event, it's just terrible," said Wayne, who asked that we only use his first name. "It's sad, it's sick you know...when things like this happen it seems like everybody just turns their head."

Wayne has a son close in age to the 16-year-old victim, and says he tells his son every day to stay out of trouble.

"Just trying to be positive and staying with the right people, because it can happen to anybody," he said.

He says crime in Milwaukee has gotten worse since he was a kid, and he hopes people will start coming together to keep crimes like this from happening.

"That love gotta come back," he said. "It's not no color barrier you know, we all bleed red we just need some help in this city it's sad."
