Two people have been sent to the hospital with serious injuries after a two-vehicle head-on crash Tuesday.
The crash happened about 4:30 p.m. in the 8000 block of US 45 at 200th Avenue in the Village of Bristol.
A Nissan sedan was traveling southbound on US 45 when it was struck head-on by a Chevrolet pickup truck traveling northbound.
The driver of the Nissan was taken to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee with injuries, while the driver of the pickup truck was transported to Froedtert Pleasant Prairie Hospital.
Because of the crash, US 45 is closed off to traffic. Drivers are encouraged to use alternative routes including Highway 50, Highway D, Highway AH and 216th Avenue.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
