MIDDLETON — Classes are canceled Wednesday at Middleton High School and Clark Street Community School because of credible threats on social media.

In a Facebook post, the Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District announced that school would be canceled at the two high school campuses because of specific threats made on social media.

Elementary and middle schools in the district will be open, but the district says there will be an increased police presence.
