Three injured in overnight shootings, one shot in the mouth

MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating three shootings that occurred overnight. The incidents do not appear to be related.

The first shooting occurred at around 6:20 p.m. Tuesday night 2400 block of W. Brown Street. A lone 21-year-old male victim suffered a gunshot wound to his right leg. Police believe that the shooting was the result of a drug deal dispute. Investigators are pursuing a known suspect.

The second shooting occurred around 10:45 p.m. near N. 25th and W. Clybourn Street Tuesday. Officers responded to a shots fired call in the area when they discovered a 52-year-old male victim with a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the mouth, according to police. The suspect was identified and taken into custody.

The third shooting occurred around 3 a.m. Wednesday in the the 2300 block of North 9th Street. A 34-year-old man sustained a non-life threatening gunshot wound and was transported to a local hospital for treatment, according to police.
