Madison police responded to a report of a possible death on Saturday and found two people dead.
Police say they met family members outside the scene and forced entry into a townhouse where they found two people with apparent gunshot wounds.
The two, a 34-year-old female and 39-year-old male, were pronounced dead shortly after police arrived. They were later discovered to have been in a domestic relationship.
Police recovered a firearm at the scene.
