Two men have been arrested in connection to the shooting death of a 5-year-old Kenosha boy.
Javonn and Jovonn Cannon, 24, have been arrested for 5-year-old Dakari Weldon's death, according to the Kenosha Police Department.
Javonn Cannon faces charges of homicide by negligent handling of a firearm, and Jovonn faces charges of leaving a loaded firearm with reach of access of a child.
Both men are residents of the City of Kenosha.
The shooting took place in the 2000 block of 60th St. in Kenosha on Monday. A man who refers to himself as the child's grandfather told TODAY'S TMJ4 that the shooting was an accident.
The firearm used is believed to be recovered and there is no ongoing threat to the public, according to police.
