Two people are in custody after a 10-year-old girl accidentally shot a 12-year-old boy.
The incident happened Thursday around 8:30 a.m. inside a home near North 11th and Atkinson.
The boy was hurt when a bullet grazed his body, but he is expected to be O.K. Family told us they were cousins.
"They might have just found something, which was a gun and picked it up and probably was looking at it and it went off," said an aunt of the two kids involved.
Police arrested two adults, but haven't said how they're involved. Family said they live in the home.
"They arrested the mother of the girls and the grandmother of the little boy," said an unidentified aunt.
Police said family is not cooperating. Relatives said that's because officers didn't treat them fairly.
"If you want respect and cooperation than respect and cooperate with people," said Judy Johnson, cousin.
Charges are expected in the coming days.
