BARRON, Wis. (AP) — An Amber Alert has been issued for a western Wisconsin teen who went missing after her parents were found dead in their home.

According to the Barron County Sheriff's Department, deputies responded to a 911 call asking for help at a home in Barron about 1 a.m. Monday. Deputies found the two adults dead and determined 13-year-old Jayme Closs was missing. Authorities say she could be in danger.

Barron County Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald says this is a case that worries him.

"I've been doing this for over 20 years and it's a crime scene I've seen before, but it's one you rarely see," he said. "It's going to take a toll on our people."

Closs is described as 5-feet tall, 100 pounds with strawberry blond hair and green eyes.

The sheriff's department is now working with the FBI and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

"We have the help needed to get the job done," said Fitzgerald. "And we just got to find some leads and hopefully the public can help us with that."

Officials say Closs is not considered a suspect in her parent's deaths. No suspects have been named yet.
