WAUKESHA -- One of the suspects in the Slender Man stabbing case will go to trial in September.

Anissa Weier's attorney asked for a jury from outside Waukesha County to be brought in, but was denied.

She and Morgan Geyser are being charged as adults, accused of stabbing their classmate 19 times to please the online fictional character named “Slender Man.”

The victim survived.

The judge also decided Weier's confession video can be played during trial. He pointed out that detectives told her, her parents were aware she was being interviewed.

"She wasn't like, I want to talk to my parents. None of that happened. The interview went on, the statements continued," said Waukesha County Judge Michael Bohren.

"When you're 12-years-old and don't truly know the right to remain silent, how is that a knowing and voluntary right?" said Maura McMahon, Anissa Weier's Attorney.

The judge also denied Morgan Geyser's attorney request to move the trial out of Waukesha County last week. Her trial will take place in October.
