Two people are seriously injured after a three-vehicle crash that took place Sunday night.
Milwaukee police say one driver was arrested on suspicion of OWI after disregarding a red light near N. 20th Street and W. Walnut Street about 9 p.m.
The initial crash was caused by the driver who ran the red light and subsequently forced one vehicle to crash into a tree, as well as strike a third vehicle.
Two occupants inside the vehicle that crashed into a tree had to be extricated and taken to a local hospital. Both the 41-year-old man and 71-year-old man sustained serious injuries, but are in stable condition.
A 39-year-old man sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the crash and was also transported to the hospital. He was arrested on suspicion of OWI, according to MPD.
