Thousands in Kenosha and Milwaukee affected by power outages

Close to six thousand residents across Kenosha and Milwaukee were impacted by power outages this morning.

Outages are affecting residents in Pleasant Prairie as well as Twin Lakes, according to WE Energies and Alliant Energies.

According to Amy Jahns, a WE Energies representative, the power outage in Pleasant Prairie is affecting over 2,000 and the cause is still being investigated. The boundaries of the affected area are 75th St. - North, Cooper Road - East, 95th St. - South and 120th Ave. - West.

Over 1,900 Twin Lakes residents served by Alliant Energy are without power this morning as well.

There were 19 WE Energies power outages in Milwaukee County that affected over 1,600 residents, according to the site.
