Third suspect charged in murder of 9-year-old Milwaukee girl arrested in Oshkosh

OSHKOSH --  The third suspect charged in the murder of 9-year-old Milwaukee girl, Za'Layia Jenkins, was arrested in Oshkosh Tuesday night. 
 
Oshkosh police arrested  21-year-old Damonta Jennings of Milwaukee in an Oshkosh park on warrants that include 1st-degree reckless homicide.
 
According to Oshkosh police, officers were patrolling Menominee Park, Tuesday, around 11 p.m. when an officer came across two vehicles near a railroad bridge. One of the vehicles was stopped while attempting to leave the park. Police then identified a passenger as Jennings.
Jennings was wanted in connection to the murder of a 9-year-old Jenkins in Milwaukee in May 2016. Jenkins was killed by a stray bullet while in her home just one day before her 10th birthday.
 
Jennings along with Otha Brown Jr. and Tony Powell Jr. are all charged with first degree reckless homicide.
 
 A 23-year-old man from Oshkosh, who was a passenger in  the other vehicle, was also arrested for a probation hold
 
Jennings will be taken back to Milwaukee.
