OSHKOSH — The largest fireworks convention in the country is coming to Oshkosh.
The Pyrotechnics Guild International (PGI) is coming to Oshkosh in the summer of 2021 to fill the sky with the country's largest fireworks convention.
The 52nd PGI Convention will take place August 14-20, 2021 at the Sunnyview Expo Center.
Visit Oshkosh took the news to Facebook Thursday and mentioned how this will be a huge "boom" to their economy.
The week-long convention brings firework enthusiasts from around the world together to take part in seminars, workshops, training, and firework vending. You must register to be a PGI member online in order to take part in the seminar and training events.
The public is invited to attend three community nights throughout the week which will feature multiple firework shows.
This is the first time the convention is being held in Wisconsin since 2010.
