WAUWATOSA — One of the world's most popular electronic car manufacturers is eyeing Wauwatosa for the state's first showroom and service center.
According to our partners at the Milwaukee Business Journal, Tesla is considering moving into the former Dodge City dealership building at 11333 W. Burleigh St.
Wisconsin law bans manufacturers from opening dealerships, which has prohibited Tesla from establishing locations in the state to sell its high-profile cars.
However, this showroom and service center would coincide with current law because cars wouldn't be sold at the location.
If the plan comes to fruition, it would be Tesla's first showroom in the state.
