The Manitowoc Sheriff says a group of teens were injured following a rollover crash involving five vehicles.
According to a news release from the Sheriff, the crash happened around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday on Highway B south of Highway 310 in Manitowoc. A 19-year-old was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer southbound on Highway B. When trying to pass, the Sheriff says he lost control, went over the concrete curbing on the west side of the roadway and crashed into a phone box.
The vehicle then went towards a driveway and crashed into a parked 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer and then overturned on top of a parked 2001 Honda CRV. The Sheriff says the momentum from the crash caused the vehicles to also collide with a 2010 Harley Davidson motorcycle and flying debris damaged a 2013 Ford Escape. The Sheriff also says the Honda CRV was pushed into the overhead garage door.
The Sheriff says there was a 16-year-old Two Rivers passenger and two 19-year-old Milwaukee passengers who were all taken to the hospital for injuries. The Sheriff says two people were not wearing seatbelts. The Sheriff's Office is not releasing any other information on the crash at this time.
Authorities are using this crash to remind drivers about driving at reasonable speeds, avoid distracted driving, and make sure everyone is wearing a seatbelt.
