RACINE -- A student at Horlick High School was arrested after bringing several weapons into the school on Wednesday.
Racine police said they received a tip that James Lashley, 18, was possibly in possession of a knife.
When an officer confronted Lashley, he said had a knife in his backpack. After searching the backpack, two knives were found -- one with a 6-inch long blade and one with a 3-inch long blade -- as well as two rounds of ammunition.
Lashley has been charged with once count of dangerous weapons on school premises. The misdemeanor carries a maximum of nine months in jail and/or a $10,000 fine.
