Roads surrounding the Social Security Administration building in Sheboygan have reopened after a suspicious package has been assessed.

Sheboygan police responded to the Social Security Administration building about 8:50 a.m. for reports of a suspicious package.

Police have now determined that the package is not dangerous

As a precautionary measure, a safety perimeter was established around the building, and the City of Milwaukee bomb squad assisted with the identification/removal of the package.

Roads surrounding the west side of 1137 N. 26th Street were temporarily closed. That included Wilgus Avenue between 25th Street and 27th Street, and North 26th Street between Wilgus Avenue and Superior Avenue.
