KENOSHA — The suspect in a Kenosha County bike trail sexual assault entered a guilty plea ahead of the scheduled start of his trial.

Reginaldo Etienne is accused of assaulting a 67-year-old woman on the trail in March and an 18-year-old woman in May 2018.

The case was scheduled to go to trial Monday, however, Etienne instead pleaded guilty to the assaults. He pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree sexual assault with use of force. Both counts carry a possible sentence of 80 years in prison.

In exchange for Etienne's plea, the state dropped an additional eight counts along with the repeater status on the charges.

Etienne was on probation for a 2008 armed robbery at the time of his arrest for the assaults.

Etienne is scheduled to be sentenced March 25.
