One of the three suspects in the murder of city inspector Gregg "Ziggy" Zyskiewicz has entered a plea deal.
Eric Smiley's trial was supposed to begin Monday but the suspect instead chose to plead guilty for murder and armed robbery.
Smiley was one of three suspects involved in a slew of robberies and carjackings in March 2017 before the murder of Zyskiewicz.
Smiley will be sentenced May 14. The other two suspects, Deshaun Scott and Qhualun Shaw remain in custody.
Scott was sentenced back in July and Shaw will be sentenced April 12.
