Suspect arrested after shots fired on I-94 East near 35th Street

MILWAUKEE-- A suspect has been arrested after firing shots on the expressway Saturday morning, according to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office.

Authorities responded to the scene on I-94 East near the 35th Street exit after 8:30 a.m. Saturday. The expressway was closed while deputies conducted a search for evidence.

Investigators located three spent shell-casings and information on a possible suspect vehicle, according to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office. The vehicle was later located, leading authorities to the suspect who was subsequently arrested. No injuries were reported.

Charges are expected to be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office in the coming days.
