A powerful line of storms brought down trees and power lines in Germantown.

At the Meadow Terrace Mobile Home Park, an explosive gust of wind yanked down a tree. It came crashing down on a home and caused significant damage.

"It was scary, said Chris Tarsy. “Fifteen seconds before the tree tumbled, I was standing in the bedroom where the tree is now resting."

"We had to kick the door in to get into the bedroom. We wanted to try and get things to save,  but the wind and rain was coming in so we just went to a hotel," said Jimmy Tarsy.

Down the road at the Blackstone Creek Golf Club, golfers won't be slicing a shot for the next couple of days.

Clean up crews are removing tree branches and then surveying the greens.

"High winds came and you couldn't see. The trees started falling down," said Troy Schmidt with BlackStone Creek Golf Club.

"It will cost us significant revenue this time of year,” he said. “You can't get these days back. We have such a short season."

Downed tree branches and powerlines were reported throughout the area.

We Energies worked throughout the night to restore power to everyone in the area.
