State Rep. Melissa Sargent is keeping good on her devotion to Wisconsin marijuana legalization. She will reintroduce legislation to fully legalize marijuana in the State of Wisconsin on Thursday.
This comes after previous attempts of introducing the bill were unsuccessful.
"It is in the best interest of our state to look toward the future and recognize the vast medicinal, economic, social justice opportunities marijuana legalization would bring to our state," Sargent said in a statement.
Advisory referendums on marijuana legislation were on ballots in 16 counties and two cities during the Nov. 6 election. In every case, the majority voted yes to legalizing the drug.
